Hello everyone
Already July 2026 can’t believe how time is flying by…

We at Apaa carry on as usual with our mission to help as many dogs as we can

We still don’t have any land .. we still haven’t had any help at all from the Town Hall.. and we still are collecting dogs weekly and have a waiting list now of people who want to give up their dogs for one reason or another !

Some of the problem
Is the Maro situation where they are turning people off of their farming plots that they ve had for many years and they have no where to go with their animals .. its not a good situation ..,

Anyway we ve had the usual influx of puppies the past few months

The Lidl dogs are still rampaging around town

Dogs have been abandoned .. nothing new.. nothing much changed

We ve got about 70 - 80 dogs at the moment . Capacity is full because they need space at the dog hotel to take in boarders in the summer months

We ve got 55 teamers at the moment .. please ask your friends to join would love to get up to 100 which would give us an extra 1200 a year to pay the bills with

This is Maeve
She has had surgery recently in her face where her mum true to kill her as a baby..

Not mums fault .. she was tied up outside our refuge heavily pregnant and very very stressed and had the babies almost immediately..

Unfortunately she d killed three of them before we could get to her..

Maeve and her two brothers survived but Maeve had severe breathing problems and her right eyebrow bone was broken so when she gets older she will have a new bone out in

She’s a very cuddly little dog and nothing seems to phase her

Although she’s still under specialist care she’s Up for adoption now !

Can’t believe how fast the time is going.. we now have 56 teamers altho some of them get sent back each month due to a bank problem so I would encourage everyone to please check your bank

We at APAA are ploughing in as usual and taking in strays as we see them . We actually have a waiting list of people wanting to get rid of their dogs for one reason or another, which is very sad, but strays get priority..

1€ per month is very little but in numbers can mount up to something great

Here we go again it’s “puppy time” ..so so many this autumn we ce lost count how many this year but it seems like at least 60 since they come in multiples of 8 or 9!!!

Its been abit of a nightmare to be honest trying to get Foster’s for the tiny ones that needed bottle feeding .. with very little outside help

Anyway … we will go on trying to do what we can when we can

Hello everybody, on Sunday I joined the APAA dog walking group and there are currently approx. 125 dogs in the shelter so money is badly needed!! Please spread the news !

We need new teamers .. some of our old ones have dropped off so now we only have 20 on our team

I€ per month is all it takes to help hundreds of dogs every years

You know the work Apaa does .. and will continue to do

There is great strength in numbers

5400 people on the blog ! Imagine How 1e from each person each month would help!!!

For every 100 people who add a Euro a month ..this will keep one dog with food and shelter for one month or12 dogs for 12 months
For every 150 people this will neuter a female dog have all vaccinations and passport and be ready for travel
For the every euro spent we can save a life !
