Os escribimos para actualizaros sobre la situación de Ucrania.

En las últimas semanas, Kyiv ha sufrido dos ataques masivos con misiles y drones que han dejado al menos 30 personas fallecidas y más de 90 heridas. Los bombardeos han destruido viviendas, edificios residenciales, mercados y otras infraestructuras, obligando a numerosas familias a abandonar sus hogares una vez más.

Ante esta situación, los equipos y organizaciones socias de ACNUR están trabajando sobre el terreno para proporcionar ayuda de emergencia a las personas afectadas. Su respuesta incluye la distribución de materiales para refugio y reparación de viviendas, asistencia económica para cubrir necesidades básicas, apoyo legal y atención psicosocial para quienes han visto sus vidas trastocadas por la guerra.

Tras más de cuatro años de conflicto a gran escala y cientos de noches bajo la amenaza de ataques, millones de personas en Ucrania continúan necesitando protección y apoyo para reconstruir sus vidas. Gracias al trabajo de ACNUR y sus socios locales, las familias afectadas reciben asistencia vital en algunos de sus momentos más difíciles.

We are writing to update you on the situation in Ukraine.

In recent weeks, Kyiv has been hit by two large-scale missile and drone attacks, leaving at least 30 people dead and more than 90 injured. The bombardments have destroyed homes, apartment buildings, markets and other essential infrastructure, forcing many families to leave their homes once again.

In response, UNHCR teams and partner organisations are working on the ground to provide emergency assistance to those affected. Their efforts include distributing emergency shelter materials and home repair kits, providing cash assistance to help families meet their basic needs, as well as offering legal support and psychosocial care to people whose lives have been deeply disrupted by the war.

After more than four years of full-scale conflict and hundreds of nights under the threat of attacks, millions of people across Ukraine still need protection and support to rebuild their lives. Thanks to the work of UNHCR and its local partners, affected families continue to receive life-saving assistance during some of their most difficult moments.

So, thank you to everyone who continues to stand with Ukraine. Although it may no longer make the headlines every day, the people of Ukraine still need our support.
