To feed and care for the cats of Canillas de Aceituno

So these are some of the things we have been using your very generous donations for recently, from December 2025 to February 2026
Around Christmas I was able to arrange the adoption of little Kitkat, a kitten who was living apparently entirely alone in a wooded area of our village: first photo shows Kitkat with her new owner.
Ace from the Goat Farm colony became jaundiced and generally unwell. He was looked after and treated by our Vet Estrella. She had him for 10 days in her surgery, then we were able to return him to his colony: 2nd photo.
In January Harriet and Natasha went to their new home, and I paid for new vaccinations and gave a little towards their keep for the 4 months they had been with The Gift of Life: 3rd photo.
I helped a young man who had adopted a kitten, and needed help towards paying for her neutering. He paid what he could.
We took little Beatrix from the Goat Farm colony to 365 Vet to be treated for a virus that caused her to have a runny nose and eyes: 4th photo. Andrea kindly fostered Beatrix, and we are now looking for a home for her.
I also took another very ill campo cat to the vet for euthanasia, and also 365 Vet treated a cat with an injury to his eye.
A very sick lady in Canillas de Aceituno campo has been feeding 20 cats on the land around her house. We are helping her with a bag of food each week, and gradually taking them to be neutered. However we are looking for a longer term solution. I would love to find a barn owner to offer them a home.
It was only this week that as well as taking four of the cats referred to above for neutering, we also found a very sick cat, Valentine, and took him to the Vet: 5th photo. We wanted to give him every chance, but sadly they were unable to save his life, and we were left with a large bill.
