We are a group of people affected by multiple sclerosis, a neurodegenerative disease experienced by some 50,000 people in Spain. Two-thirds of the 1,800 people who each year learn they have MS are under the age of 40; three out of four of them are women. GAEM promotes research into treatments for this disease, and seeks to improve the quality of life of affected people and their families. We are a group of firefighters from Barcelona and with Teaming we realize: - The Christmas toy campaign - The spread of a disease through the Nautical Mile - The solidarity challenges of the Cursa de Bombers - The sponsorship of a Volunteer Firefighters in Chile. We also do other actions that do not require money: - Visits to children hospitals, blood and plasma collection, food bank, solidarity calendar, and everything we have time and energy!
