In the school canteen in Seduwa, in the Makalu Valley (Nepal), we provide meals to 30 boys and girls and offer fair employment to the cook, Chandra Mara. Additionally, we have renovated a hostel to accommodate these children who live far from the school, and we have initiated an eco-farm to supply it. Marta tiene una enfermedad neurológica degenerativa ultra rara. No existe cura ni tratamiento pero hay un proyecto de investigación que puede cambiarlo todo. Toda la esperanza de Marta está puesta en un experimento pionero: crear las MartiMoscas y los pecesMarticebra :), pequeñas moscas y peces cebra genéticamente modificados para replicar su enfermedad. Con ellos será posible probar fármacos ya existentes para descubrir si alguno puede frenar o mejorar los síntomas.
