Ciao a tutti sono Eleonora e mi occupo di varie colonie feline che si trovano a San Nicola e dintorni, un paesino a 30 km da Palermo. Purtroppo sono sola, senza aiuto dalle istituzioni e non avendo un gattile mi trovo ad affrontare mille emergenze, stalli, cibo da acquistare, medicinali, visite veterinarie, sterilizzazioni e affidi. Da sola devo pensare anche ad organizzare e pagare i voli per fare arrivare i tanti gatti trovatelli dalle loro nuove famiglie.

Siamo un gruppo di volontari che si impegnano per dare assistenza, cure e protezione ai gatti malati, feriti, maltrattati, incidentati o in difficoltà. Li accogliamo e ce ne prendiamo cura, come se fossero i nostri gatti di casa, donandogli amore e cure continue, finché non troviamo loro una famiglia adottiva. Cibo, farmaci e spese veterinarie, manutenzione delle strutture, pagamento delle utenze e tutto ciò che serve a mantenere in funzione il gattile, richiede uno sforzo enorme e costante.

It was founded in 2011 to protect animals and promote awareness campaigns in the Calabrian area by collaborating with institutions. First active with the recovery of animals from the streets, then with the collaboration with the local kennels, today it looks after 12 elderly and sick dogs that no one has ever adopted in these 13 years of activity. It supports volunteers and other associations in the area, covering sterilization and food collection costs

We are a free animal shelter where around 80 animals removed from the production chain live. At the La Capra Campa farm goats, sheep, chickens, turkeys, geese, ducks, quails, pigs, donkeys, cattle, dogs and cats live free. They are our travel companions! In order to be able to support this great project and other small and large initiatives all linked to the vegan and anti-speciesist world, in February 2020 we founded, with a group of trusted friends, Il Soffio di Gea ODV association.

"E a pensarci, che pazzia È una favola, è solo fantasia E chi è saggio, chi è maturo lo sa Non può esistere nella realtà.." E invece può esistere, "si può fare"! E l'esperienza da volontaria in un rifugio per animali considerati "da reddito" me lo ha dimostrato. Ed è lì che è maturata la "folle" idea di essere una goccia nel mare, di creare un piccolo rifugio dove poter accogliere animali altrimenti destinati allo sfruttamento ed alla sofferenza.
