At Beit Jala Hospital, the only public pediatric cancer hospital still operating in Palestine, chemotherapy drugs are running out, as they are in all other hospitals. Over 500 children risk death if their treatment is interrupted. In Palestine, a child is diagnosed with cancer every three days. In Gaza, there is no longer a pediatric cancer hospital. Soleterre, together with Every Child Is My Child ETS, continues to raise funds and work to ensure access to treatment.
I created this project to help Fondazione Soleterre support the last public hospital in Palestine (Beit Jala Hospital) in treating chronic paediatric cancer. The hospital has run out of medicines and is not being restocked. Soleterre does what international institutions do not: it purchases medicines with donations from people like you and me and makes them available to young patients. Every little bit helps. Being able to treat patients but not having the drugs to do so is terrible for doctors, patients and their families. We can make a big difference for children already undergoing treatment and for the many who unfortunately arrive every year. Join the Group and talk about it with those close to you who want to “do” something to continue to resist as human beings. A small light becomes a beacon if many are lit. Thank you, Emanuela
