It is a non-profit organization whose objectives are assistance, research and teaching in the field of HIV and AIDS. It was created more than 25 years ago by Dr. Bonaventura Clotet from the HIV Unit of the University Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol located in Badalona (Barcelona). It treats 3,000 patients and has carried out more than 150 clinical trials that have changed the history of the disease. The next goal? The cure and the vaccine!

El objetivo de la Fundación Vencer el Cáncer es ofrecer recursos para la investigación en España sobre las causas moleculares del cáncer y facilitar la transferencia de este conocimiento al desarrollo de nuevos fármacos. En definitiva: invertir en proyectos de investigación en España para desarrolla nuevos fármacos, más eficaces y con menos efectos secundarios, para vencer el cáncer.

Fathers and mothers from all over Spain, aware of the seriousness of our children, we decided to fight to give them a better and hopeful future. The SJD Pediatric Center is the first monographic centre for paediatric oncology in Spain (2nd in Europe). 70% of the centre is devoted to care and 30% to research. It has the capacity to care for 400 children and youngsters. Its spaces are designed with the emotional well-being of the children and their families in mind. Our aim is that the children have more options to overcome cancer with less after-effects. Will you join us?
