As per Guinnes Book of World Rekords the Smeura is bearing the mournful title of being the biggest animal shelter of the world. Around 5400 dogs and 600 puppies need around 2.7 tonnes food per day. The staff members are doing an inconceivable job - organizationally, physically and emotionally. Driving around with a castration van and pushing the clearing up of the locals. Every euro is needed. Cvety's and Iva's Dog and Cat Happiness, Bulgaria is an animal welfare organization of two young women who tirelessly sacrifice all their free time and energy in a private animal rescue center for abandoned, sick dogs and cats. About 150 dogs and about 50 cats are in urgent need of financial support for food and medical expenses. Donations are absolutely necessary

HAR is an NGO with headquarters in Bucharest, Romania and a shelter with over 300 dogs and 50 cats. In East Greenland, many sled dogs, the Greenland dogs, live on the chain. The animal protection association Robin Hood has been trying for years to improve these sad living conditions. Many dogs get little food and only every third day in summer. Water is also rarely available. Robin Hood has built a water pipe, has water containers transported to the dogs, pays for the transport of dog food from Denmark and has dog houses built on site.

Wir, der Verein „ein Herz für Hunde“ kämpft gegen die traurige Lage auf der Deponie in Bihac in Bosnien. Hunderte Strassenhunde benötigen dort täglich Futter und Wasser. Neben der täglichen Angst zu verhungern, kommt natürlich auch das ständige Leben in Angst dazu. Da dies in einer Dimension stattfindet, die wir ohne fremde Hilfe nicht stemmen können, benötigen wir immer wieder Menschen mit Herz die uns helfen und spenden möchten.

Hilfe für Italiens Streuner, ein Projekt des deutschen Tierschutzvereines Leben für Streuner e.V., hat es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, Streunern in Italien zu helfen. Wir unterstützen Tierschützer vor Ort um die aufgenommenen Notfälle mit Futter zu versorgen, ihnen die nötige medizinische Versorgung zu gewährleisten und Lebenssituationen zu verbessern. Wir sind ebenso stets bemüht, mit Durchführung von Kastrationen von Straßen- und Besitzertieren das Leid zusätzlicher Streuner einzudämmen.

We are a small but very strong-willed team, which made it its mission to take care of the forgotten and abandoned dogs of the streets and garbage dump of the city of Bihac in the northwest of Bosnia, to alleviate their suffering and above all to show them that not all people are bad, and that their fate does not leave us unaffected.
