Dear supporters We run a small, private sanctuary for elderly and sick dogs, whom we lovingly accompany in palliative care. Former laying hens and rabbits that can no longer be kept also find a safe and caring home with us or are rehomed in a species-appropriate way. SpecialDogs e.V. stands for sustainable animal welfare at home and abroad – with a focus on Romania and Germany. In Romania, we pursue effective animal welfare through spay/neuter programs, education, political advocacy, and carefully selected adoptions. In Germany, we run the “New Start” project: here we take in dogs in need that would otherwise have no chance – animals that have already bitten or are facing euthanasia.
