Santuario Vegan was born in 2011 with the purpose that we work for every day of the year: saving and protecting farmed animals. Thanks to your support, more than 300 residents: horses, donkeys, cows, bulls, sheep, goats, pigs and poultry were saved from a certain death. Here, they receive love, care and health treatment in a natural space away from exploitation.

This project was born out of the need that we saw day by day to help stray animals in extreme circumstances but that nobody wanted to help. Our biggest difficulty is always money. We carry out checks on colonies and look after dogs and cats that are ill or have been run over or cruelly treated by people. We receive abandoned puppies from all over SPAIN, and we also take care of pregnant dogs until they give birth, and then we find them a family. we rescued and cared over 1,700 since our inception. Soy una asociación protectora de animales legalmente constituida, pero solo yo Angelita Sánchez, para afrontar los cuidados, gastos y gestiones de los animales rescatados. No tengo unas instalaciones propiamente dichas y todos los gastos que conllevan los rescates (visitas veterinarias, vacunas, comida, medicamentos...) corren por mi cuenta. Cuando un perro tiene tanto miedo que no se deja coger, siempre se puede contar con Andrés y su jaula trampa para rescatarlo. En la mayoría de ocasiones llevan mucho tiempo abandonados y nadie ha podido ayudarlos al no dejar que se acerquen a ellos. Casi siempre están en un estado lamentable, llenos de parásitos, con leishmania, heridas... y deben ir automáticamente a un veterinario. Andrés necesita ayuda, pues se hace cargo de muchos de estos animales invisibles para muchos, ¿te unes?.

El grupo principal se transforma en el pago del hogar de los animales tras una campaña maravillosa, logramos ponernos a salvo y comprar un terreno mediante un inversor que nos concedió un prestamo sin intereses. Y ahora tenemos que luchar por poder pagar mensualmente la tranquilidad y el gran hogar que hemos conseguido. Y así mientras este grupo intenta darnos un empujoncito para seguir construyendo, que aún nos falta muchísimo para conseguir todo lo que queremos en este santuario ❤️.

Protectora SAT Animal Rescue, or ‘SAT’ as it is usually known, is a voluntary organisation and registered charity rescuing and re-homing stray and abandoned dogs in the Alicante province. In January 2024 we moved to our new kennels at San Isidro, which provides much better accommodation for our dogs, but we still need to raise more funds to complete the project. Necesidades como pienso, comida húmeda, alquiler, arena y tratamiento veterinario es en lo que destinamos el dinero. Se nos hace muy cuesta arriba tanto gasto.
