We are dedicated to rescuing, caring for and giving for adoption to animals that have had a bad life or who are simply looking for a first or second chance. We keep the animals with the money from the donations we receive and the adoptions, since the cost, in addition to including dewoparitations, corresponding vaccines, chip, passport and sterilization, a small part of that contribution is intended for the feeding, veterinary care, etc., of the other animals in the shelter

We work together towards a world where donkeys and mules live free from suffering, and their contribution to humanity is fully valued. El Refugio del Burrito is actively involved in causes that encourage the application and improvement of existing laws regarding animal welfare and the promotion of education and awareness campaigns about responsible equine ownership and expert care.

You love animals? Here more than 20 donkeys have found their home. Its maintenance depends entirely on the efforts of a few people and the donations of those who kindly want to help. Every euro goes directly to their hay, water, feed, creams and medicines, the carrots they love so much and any veterinary expenses that may arise.
