Er ist vor Ort als Einzelkämpfer unterwegs und versucht bis zur Erschöpfung gegen das Leid der Straßenhunde und -katzen anzukämpfen. Von A wie Ausrüstung, bis Z wie Zaun, fehlt es an allen Ecken und Enden! Wir sind leider nur wenige, die ihn unterstützen, aber auch wir stoßen irgendwann an unsere Grenzen! Sasha takes care of 750 unwanted dogs .. – this has never been his dream - but the dogs are there, waiting for food, waiting for help.. every day..again. The dogs are kept in packs, they run free for 8 hours per day, they eat, rest and play together. They are safe. Safe from the dangers of the street and humans. We help them with food and basic medication. We also run a sterilization program and try to improve care for the old and weaker dogs and abandoned pups.

We work together towards a world where donkeys and mules live free from suffering, and their contribution to humanity is fully valued. El Refugio del Burrito is actively involved in causes that encourage the application and improvement of existing laws regarding animal welfare and the promotion of education and awareness campaigns about responsible equine ownership and expert care.
