Shelter for homeless cats. Some can move to a new, warm home after a short rest and/or recovery period. There are cats for whom that is no longer possible... trauma, illness, loss of trust in humans... we call that group the 'stayers'. For material matters we are completely dependent on financial support, donations and sponsorships. The donations will be used to help meet the costs of the daily needs and above all, the medical care of our many stayers. We are a no-kill organisation.
In onze opvang wonen er tal van katjes (momenteel een 60-tal) die niet meer kunnen verhuizen naar een individuele thuis. Trauma, ziekte, verlies van vertrouwen in mensen... we noemen ze onze 'blijvertjes'. Onder onze blijvertjes zijn er ook heel wat op leeftijd. Voor het permanente verblijf en verzorging van de groep hangen we af van sponsoring en donaties. Voor de praktische werking mogen we rekenen op een schare vrijwilligers. Verzamelde donaties worden aangewend om aan de dagelijkse kosten tegemoet te komen (eten, verzorging, verwarming, huisvesting enz.) maar bovenal ook hun medische verzorging waarvan de rekeningen iedere maand hoog oplopen.

Upon arrival, all cats are placed in quarantine to acclimatize quietly, under medical supervision. Changing environments and situations can be very stressful for a cat. That is why we try to make the adjustment process as smooth as possible.
We are a small organization, do not receive government grants and we can count on a team of volunteers for our practical operations. However, for material matters we are completely dependent on financial support, donations and sponsorships. The donations will be used to help meet the costs of the many daily needs and, above all, the medical care of our many stayers. We are a no-kill organisation (except in exceptional circumstances where they are suffering or so traumatised or ill that there is nothing veterinary science can do to save them).
