For about two years now, I've been caring for a registered cat colony in Marina di Modica and doing my best to give the strays a dignified life. But that's just a drop in the ocean, because the reality is quite different. My vision: a mobile veterinary clinic in rural areas that cares for the pets of people in need and for stray animals, thus filling a huge gap.

The VETmobil will be a converted ambulance, originally designed for human medicine, equipped with an examination room and a fully equipped operating room for small animals. My vision is a call for cooperation and trust in the strength of community. For many people affected by poverty, their pet is their only loyal companion, a source of comfort and social connection. The fear of losing their pet to a treatable illness or being unable to care for it due to financial reasons is an enormous psychological burden. The VETmobil alleviates these worries and strengthens the bond between people and their animals.
