Ciudad Animal es un refugio situado en el corazón de la Mancha, donde el galgo y los demás perros de caza son castigados, además de otros mestizos. Ahora mismo hay aproximadamente 200 perros que buscan una oportunidad. Llevamos 10 años luchando diariamente para conseguir ayudas y poder seguir con nuestra labor. For more than 30 years, Scooby has been providing shelter to abandoned and mistreated animals. In the 90's we brought to light the atrocities inflicted on galgos (Spanish greyhounds). At present, we are the biggest shelter in Spain, currently homing more than 1000 dogs and cats and 200 farm animals. Our resources are very limited and we depend mainly on the donations. Asociación Pro-Derechos del Animal del Prodean Campo de Gibraltar carries with great effort the shelter of La Línea. They keep fighting to keep the Peter's idea of saving all possible animals. They have no government help and are supported by donations and adoptions. Maintenance, veterinary, medicine and worker expenses are very high. Galgos Rescue Almeria (GRA) is een kleine shelter die zich vooral bekommerd om het lot van galgos en podencos.Deze rassen worden door de Spaanse overheid totaal niet beschermd daar ze gebruikt, zeg maar gerust misbruikt, worden voor de jacht en eigenlijk aanzien worden als een werktuig.Uiteraard sluiten we de ogen niet voor andere rassen/dieren in nood, en zetten wij ook voor hen ons hart en deuren open.

In Salé, Morocco, Hajar Aourz has created a shelter in her home and on rented land. Today, this shelter welcomes more than 150 cats and 120 dogs. Galgos del Sol is a non profit charity located in Murcia, Spain. We are dedicated to rescue abandoned and injured galgos to rehabilitate them and find them forever homes in different parts of the world. Thousands of galgos are abandoned or killed each year at the end of the hunting season.
