Tenerife Animal Sanctuary

We are a fully registered, self-funded charity founded in 2018 and based in Tenerife. We rescue animals, educate for change, and give everything a second chance through sustainable, freegan living. Run by volunteers, we work in a resource-limited island environment and care for many animals including horses, dogs, cats, birds, and more. Every €1 a month helps us continue this work.

Our sanctuary is 100% self-funded, which means we rely entirely on the generosity of people like you. We receive no financial assistance from the government or other companies. Every euro that supports Tenerife Horse Rescue comes from amazing individuals like you! Our supporters are wonderful animal lovers from around the world who have discovered us through social media or visited us during their holidays. It's the hard-working public who have chosen to donate their money to help our animals. We need your help. We can't pretend otherwise. Running the sanctuary requires significant funds—on average, we need more than €3,500 each month just to cover basic expenses.
