SEEDS FOR FUTURE: San Patricio Foundation and Manyatta Association

San Patricio Foundation has been working in Turkana, NW Kenya since 2004, with a reception and schooling program for 60 girls at the St. Patrick’s Center in the town of Lokitaung. In 2021, Foundation join forces with the Manyatta Association to start a new project in the center: 1st Women's Agricultural Cooperative, which will help combat famine and malnutrition in the population, and will employ women and young graduates from the same center.

1ª Cooperativa Agrícola de Mujeres en Lokitaung

Turkana: NO de Kenia, una región sin recursos que se muere de sed y hambre. Es imprescindible construir con la población local nuevos modos de vida: ¡apostamos por la agricultura! Asentado el programa educativo de las niñas acogidas en el centro St. Patrick’s, queremos poner en marcha de la 1ª Cooperativa agrícola de mujeres de Lokitaung. Objetivo: paliar la hambruna y la malnutrición de la población y ser un modo de vida de las mujeres y jóvenes graduadas del centro y de Lokitaung.
