Children need open spaces where they can grow up healthy and in contact with nature. A growing number of studies link aggressive behavior, hyperactivity, and anxiety to city life. SAVE! was created to contribute to scientific knowledge, halt urban degradation, and promote healthy living in the city. We want to connect the parks in the east of Seville with streams, boulevards, and green corridors for future generations. We aim to create a Green and Blue Infraestructure in western Seville.
Seville boasts a unique ecosystem. A relic of ancient riverbeds and wetlands, "The Toad Lagoons" teem with life each year with the rains. A balanced ecosystem where wonders like this thrive, a hidden biodiversity rarely found in urban environments. A habitat that preserves creatures from another era, true living fossils, like Triops. SAVE! continúa cuidando las reforestaciones también en verano.
Sabemos que cuidar de la salud ambiental es cuidar de nuestra propia salud.
Con la sequía golpeando en Europa y mientras se superan los records históricos de máximos en la Península Ibérica, no olvidamos que los espacios que aportan calidad de vida a la ciudad. Las zonas verdes, como El Sapo, conservan en esta época todo el frescor y la humedad.
Cuando, gracias a las lluvias de otoño, invierno y primavera, se llenan las lagunas naturales, durante la estación seca del año se conserva vegetación autóctona que refresca el ambiente, disminuyendo las temperaturas especialmente durante la tarde.
Personas voluntarias de "La otra Sevilla Este" y el área de Medio Ambiente de Cruz Roja aportan su granito de arena al calendario de riegos junto a una decena de colectivos que no abandonan los arbolitos a su suerte.

En Sevilla existe un ecosistema singular. Relicto de antiguos cauces y humedales, las lagunas de El Sapo se llenan de vida cada año con las lluvias. Un ecosistema en equilibrio donde se dan maravillas como ésta, una biodiversidad oculta muy poco frecuente en entornos urbanos. Un hábitat que conserva seres de otra época, auténticos fósiles vivientes como el Triops. Por cada euro que dones podremos seguir investigando y hacer mucho más por El Sapo.
