Savethedogsbih is a non-profit organization in Bosnia. We rescue dogs that have been abandoned, abused and chained up. For over 6 years, the founder Bruno Jelovic and his team have been caring for over 1000 dogs. Our dogs are not kept in kennels, but live on our ranches where they can just be dogs. We are committed to growing and plan to build more ranches to accommodate more dogs.

2008 verkaufte die italienische Tierschützerin, Luigia Parco ihren Besitz und erwarb in Apulien Land, auf dem sie das Oasi Nuova Vita erbaute. Freilauf und geräumige Gehege für ca. 100 Hunde pro Jahr. Geschundene Seelen, kranke Streuner, ausgesetzte Welpen finden dort Zuflucht, Sicherheit und Heilung. Die meisten finden anschließend ein neues Zuhause, andere bleiben dort für immer, zu tief sitzen die Traumata der Vergangenheit. HELFT UNS, ZU HELFEN. www.oasinuovavita.org

Deze honden moeten van fosters naar haar eigen veilige plek komen. Maandelijks kost dit geld voor voer, dierenarts kosten, sterilisaties, bouwwerk van kennels. Wir, der Verein „ein Herz für Hunde“ kämpft gegen die traurige Lage auf der Deponie in Bihac in Bosnien. Hunderte Strassenhunde benötigen dort täglich Futter und Wasser. Neben der täglichen Angst zu verhungern, kommt natürlich auch das ständige Leben in Angst dazu. Da dies in einer Dimension stattfindet, die wir ohne fremde Hilfe nicht stemmen können, benötigen wir immer wieder Menschen mit Herz die uns helfen und spenden möchten.

As per Guinnes Book of World Rekords the Smeura is bearing the mournful title of being the biggest animal shelter of the world. Around 5400 dogs and 600 puppies need around 2.7 tonnes food per day. The staff members are doing an inconceivable job - organizationally, physically and emotionally. Driving around with a castration van and pushing the clearing up of the locals. Every euro is needed.
