Melief Animal Sanctuary is opgericht in 2003 door Marc Winters en Lothar Vermeulen. En heeft tot doel om dieren die verwaarloosd, mishandeld of met de dood bedreigd worden, die niet in asiels terecht kunnen, of geen kans maken er ooit nog uit te komen, een permanente plek te bieden. Hier kunnen zij onbekommerd oud worden. De opvang voor de inmiddels 1300 dieren brengt veel kosten met zich mee. We are a vegan abolitionist sanctuary in the middle of rural France. Our animals have all been rescued from situations of exploitation/slaughter, abuse, neglect or homelessness. We create a safe and healing space for any animal in need - regardless of species - where they can finally relax, decompress and enjoy feeling the sun on their faces and learn that life and humans can be good.

Paradis d'Animaux is committed to animals that urgently need a permanent home. These animals will not be re-homed and will grow old with us. The most important thing we want to achieve is that all the animals we take in are happy and healthy. Currently, there are about 160 animals living at Animal Paradise. At Animal Paradise, the animals are not kept separately in cages, but freely and with each other.
