Tienen en común el abandono y también la ilusión de encontrar el trocito de mundo al que pertenecen. Esta hucha que rellenamos cada mes va destinada a garantizar su alimentación para que el hambre no tenga en sus historias siquiera un papel secundario, y si hay suerte, arena para los gatos. Buscamos alcanzar un sueño: Crear un centro de acogida y recuperación para gatos de Madrid, donde puedan encontrar el refugio y la oportunidad que tantas veces no les brinda y procurar una ciudad, con gatos felices, salvados y serenos y en paz, con su hábitat y con los ciudadanos.

Nuestro principal objetivo es el control de colonias felinas de manera ética, mediante el método CES (Captura-Esterilización-Suelta). Rescatamos y gestionamos la adopción de gatos sociables. ¿Colaboras con nuestra labor?

La Vega Cats is a cat sanctuary located in the south of Madrid where more than 100 cats live, most of them rescued from the Madrid Barajas airport that, due to various circumstances or their health, have never been adopted. In La Vega they receive the necessary care so that they have a decent life for the rest of their lives.

It all started on a trip between Barcelona and Madrid at the Calatayud gas station, where around 15 hungry cats appeared. At the bar we were told there had been several litters and the situation had escalated to the point that the cats climbed onto the tables, creating a health issue. A total of 22 cats have been registered. With the help of Gato Ayud, 11 have been neutered, another 11 still remain. With no support from the local council, we are seeking help to cover veterinary and food
