Hi, I'm Helena, founder of Madretierra. In Andalusia, public Wildlife Recovery Centres can only take in threatened species. As a registered collaborating organisation, we care for native wildlife they cannot attend to. Every week we receive orphaned chicks that need feeding several times a day, with tweezers and live insects. We spend €100 a week on food alone. With your euro you help rescue and rehabilitate wildlife in Málaga. Just €1 a month.
The funds raised during 2026 will directly finance the rescue and rehabilitation of native, non-threatened birds and wildlife in Málaga, covering costs that public centres cannot assume for these species. Where will your euro go? Food: live insects, hand-rearing formula, grains and vitamin supplements Veterinary visits: every animal receives at least one check-up, sick ones more Care materials: heat bulbs, boxes, tweezers and syringes Hygiene and facilities: cleaning products, hay substrate and flight cage maintenance Who benefits? Every wild animal that arrives with no possibility of public care: chicks fallen from the nest, injured adult birds, orphaned mammals. At the end of 2026 we will publish a summary with the number of animals rescued, rehabilitated and released, and a breakdown of how every euro was spent.
