Puppy Rescue Romania

We are a Romanian animal rescue organisation fighting to reduce the number of stray animals by offering them a better life through adoption and also through spay and neuter campaigns in our area. We also have our own private shelter where animals in need are being treated and taken care of for an unlimited period of time until they are adopted. We are currently caring for 80 dogs and 2 horses.

Stronger Shelter, Better Care marks the next stage in our organization’s development. After three years of working at the same location, our shelter is fully built and our dogs are safe. However, safety alone is no longer enough. As the number of dogs in our care has grown, so have their needs. Many require not only daily care, but also socialization, behavioral support, training, and continuous medical treatment—especially dogs that have suffered trauma before arriving at the shelter. This project focuses on two key areas: modernizing and improving the shelter infrastructure and expanding our on-site team. Additional staff allows for more individual attention, better routines, improved recovery, and a higher quality of life for every dog. These steps have led to a significant increase in operational costs, both for personnel and for shelter improvements. This project is an investment in long-term care, better adoption chances, and a safer future for our dogs.
