This project supports a little-known but essential task: promoting analysis, action, and responses when animal protection is not properly implemented or there is clear inaction on the part of the administration, without replacing the responsibilities of public services. Citizens and animal protection organizations play a fundamental role in detecting situations of abuse, abandonment, or lack of public action and reporting them to the administration, with the intervention of law enforcement agencies being a priority. At APDA, we channel this information, analyze it, and transform it into proposals and initiatives that help resolve entrenched situations and foster an institutional response that complies with the law, even when this work must be carried out discreetly.
