small private cat shelter in Lanzarote: Sigrid, a very enthusiastic cat rescuer, needs help: Not only is she taking care of her rescued "regulars", but also of strays in the area. And of course, there's a never ending stream of emergencies coming in along the way. They all want to be treated and nursed back to health properly. As you can imagine, it is hard to say no. Sigrid is helping wherever she can. But this takes a lot of effort, and even more money.

Die deutsche Auswanderin Sigrid Walther kämpft seit vielen Jahren in privater Initiative gegen das Katzenelend auf der kanarischen Insel Lanzarote. Immer wieder nimmt sie verwaiste und verletzte Katzenwelpen bei sich auf, die sie im Müll entsorgt findet oder die ihr einfach in Pappkartons vor die Tür gestellt werden. Auch Katzen die sie aus den spanischen Perreras (staatlichen Tötungsstationen!) rettet, finden bei ihr Zuflucht. Somit ist über die Jahre eine Art kleiner Gnadenhof entstanden.
