Help for Strays e.V. is a Germany-based non profit organisation which supports the private animal shelter "Riska" in Belgrade, Serbia. It is home to approx. 250 dogs and 30 cats. The shelter feeds the animals and provides medical care. It is financed through donations only. We are volunteer animal rights activists. We try to help wherever help is needed. In smaller villages in Bulgaria, Serbia and Romania we take care of street cats and dogs. We support personally known animal rights activists and veterinarians with money for castration, medical care and feed. Through systematic castration campaigns we try to reduce the "replenishment" of animals on the street and in the shelter hells.
