They tell us these are green projects, but in Chiribaile (Padul), the large-scale solar plants Jesús and Santa María alone threaten more than 70 hectares of fertile land. We are not talking about self-consumption, we are talking about industry built on land that feeds us. The Padul Town Council and Ecologistas en Acción Valle de Lecrín warn about the impact on protected bird species and a landscape that is essential to rural life.
