I'm Pepe, an adopted cat. I started scratching myself so much that I got bald patches and wounds. After several vets, the diagnosis: atopic dermatitis and depression. I was getting better, but when I scratched, I hit my eye and hurt my cornea. The operation went well and I recovered enough vision, but before I did the same in my other eye.
