Die Igelfreunde Oberösterreich - Verein zur Rettung von Wildtieren, haben sich dem Schutz, der Rettung, Aufzucht, Betreuung, Pflege und Versorgung im Schadensfall, die notwendige Überwinterung und die darauffolgende Auswilderung im Sinne des OÖ Natur- und Landschaftsschutzgesetzes 2001 ( § 27 und 29 Abs. 2) zur Aufgabe gemacht. Das heißt die Auswilderung ist und muss immer das Ziel der Wildtierpflege sein!

The Schabenreith animal paradise is an officially approved animal shelter and cooperation partner of the state of Upper Austria. The Hofner-Foltin couple have been caring for animals in need with love and professionalism for over 30 years and are currently home to around 500 protégés. The animal paradise is a refuge for abandoned, abused, old and sick pets and so-called “farm animals” who spend their twilight years on the farm with the best medical care.
