The Society for the Protection of Animals and Plants of Alcoy is a non-profit association whose purpose is the protection and defense of animals. We manage the Municipal Canine Shelter and there we provide abandoned dogs and cats with a roof, food and all the necessary care while they find a new home with family who provide them with the quality of life that they all deserve.

Pepa needs your help! This 30-year-old mare came to our shelter after her elderly owner realized that old horses need special care that she could not provide. Pepa has no teeth or molars left, and she needs 8 kilos of particular and balanced concentrates a day to gain weight. In addition, she needs extra vitamins, minerals and regular veterinary checkups.
