George Orfanidis has been rescuing animals in Crete, Greece for 25 years. He has around 120 dogs at his shelter. George often takes disabled animals or those requiring expensive surgery or with an ongoing need for medication for diseases such as leishmaniasis, who might otherwise struggle to find the safety of a shelter and are hard to find homes for. We are an animal shelter rescuing strays and abandoned animals in the island of Crete. We have been providing food, shelter, medical care, neutering and adoptions for almost 20 years. We currently care for around 200 dogs and 80 cats. We rely solely on donations and receive no government funding. I started Maria’s Cathouse to help the many stray cats around Chania on the Greek island of Crete. Most cats I take in have health issues (often complex) or disabilities. Some will have a home with me for life. There are over 130 cats at the shelter and I run and maintain it by myself and it is a huge struggle to fund their care. Every day I see sick, injured and starving cats and kittens living on the street. With your help I can treat, neuter and feed them. Thank you so much

The Gouves Animal Shelter, is a non-profit, donation only charity. We have saved 1000's of animals. We only survive with donations, we tend to rely in the summer on tourism, but coronavirus has made this difficult. Now we are being evicted from our land and need to raise money to move our shelter with around 160 dogs and 80 cats. We are trying to make the impossible, possible.

Maria Fragkouli lebt in Ierapetra auf Kreta und kümmert sich liebevoll um streunende Hunde und Katzen. Maria hat derzeit mehr als 75 Hunde und etwa 25 Katzen in ihrem Garten und in Dog Village, dem neuen Tierheim. Sie kümmert sich auch um viele andere Straßentiere, versorgt sie mit Futter und bringt sie bei Bedarf zum Tierarzt. Maria braucht dringend unsere Unterstützung bei der Versorgung der Straßentiere. Die Tiere brauchen Futter, med. Pflege, Kastration etc. und ein liebevolles Zuhause.
