Every day, 500 children are born with HIV and there are already 2 million in the world. Most live in resource-limited countries where diagnosis and infection monitoring are a luxury. For the past 15 years, the EpiMolVIH research laboratory at the IRYCIS-Ramon y Cajal Hospital in Madrid has been working to improve HIV detection and facilitate access to diagnosis in vulnerable populations. Firefighters Help is an Association of Firefighters of Madrid that, seeing the serious situation that society is going through, seeks to help people and/or entities or associations in need with the strength of the group of firefighters. We are helping families in difficulty with shopping baskets, financing therapies for children with severe illnesses and collaborating in research in several hospitals. www.bomberosayudan.org

"I’m Amelie, 32 years old and mother of 5 children. We live in a modest home in Kinshasa, and I’m now expecting my 6th baby. I dream of having a boy, but I place everything in God’s hands. Thanks to the Amigos de Monkole Foundation, I’ve been able to safely welcome each of my children. We survive on what I sell in the streets and from growing vegetables; many days I feed my family with only €1 or €2". The Foundation wants to reach more women like me: in Kinshasa, even €1 can work miracles.

Apoyamos proyectos educativos en Kenia, donde vivimos, cuya realidad conocemos de primera mano y ante la cual no podemos quedarnos de brazos cruzados. Desde hace más de 2 años colaboramos con Gladways School, una escuela de educación primaria en el barrio chabolista de Kawangware (Nairobi). En la actualidad, estamos reconstruyendo este colegio que cerró permanentemente a causa de la pandemia, y financiamos los estudios de secundaria / formación profesional a 3 niños.

El Proyecto Plantamos Árboles nació hace 22 años y, en noviembre de 2014, nos constituimos en Asociación con el objetivo de seguir concienciando sobre la importancia de los árboles para la supervivencia de la vida en el planeta, la calidad del aire y la sujeción del suelo a través de talleres y regalando árboles en diferentes iniciativas sociales.
