El origen de esta asociación es Izas, nuestra hija, a la que se le diagnosticó una enfermedad mortal, un cáncer cerebral llamado gliomatosis cerebri, del que no hay tratamiento curativo, y cuya supervivencia aproximada es de 14 meses desde el diagnóstico. La asociación Izas tiene como prioridad impulsar la investigaciónde la gliomatosis cerebri pediátrica, pues no existe ninguna investigación en el mundo sobre este cáncer.
