Nuestra misión es luchar contra las causas y consecuencias de las distrofias hereditarias de retina (DHR) Son un conjunto de patologías oculares de origen genético que causan en general la pérdida de la función visual por degeneración de los fotorreceptores (conos y/o bastones), del epitelio pigmentario retiniano o de la coroides. Al final, estas patologías se caracterizan por la progresiva pérdida de agudeza visual o campo visual que conduce a ceguera parcial o total.
