As per Guinnes Book of World Rekords the Smeura is bearing the mournful title of being the biggest animal shelter of the world. Around 5400 dogs and 600 puppies need around 2.7 tonnes food per day. The staff members are doing an inconceivable job - organizationally, physically and emotionally. Driving around with a castration van and pushing the clearing up of the locals. Every euro is needed. There are some pictures in the project description.

Wir sind ein kleiner Tierschutzverein, der u.a. Straßenhunde in Ungarn aufnimmt, medizinisch versorgt, kastriert und natürlich füttert. Anschließend versuchen wir unsere Schützlinge in ein eigenes Zuhause zu vermitteln. Zwei Mitglieder sind in Ungarn vor Ort und betreuen den Tierschutzhof mit unseren -teilweise gehandicapten- Hunden, aber auch Katzen, Papageien, Schweine und Hühnern. Nicht sozialisierbare, alte oder traumatisierte Tiere bekommen hier auch ihr Gnadenbrot.

Animal welfare goes beyond national borders. Every animal deserves a chance at a dignified life. The association operates a shelter in Tunari, Romania. A maximum of 140 dogs can currently be taken in and cared for there. We take care of dogs that have had an accident or are in need, and we constantly rescue animals from the so-called killing-shelters. In addition, we support and organize castration campaigns and maintain a Germany-wide network of around 100 foster homes.

The association Kitmir Tierhilfe Demirtas e.V. was founded in 2012 and helps stray animals in Turkey. We take care of neutering, look after feeding stations, provide medical care and offer a home to stray animals when they cannot survive alone on the street. In our shelter we currently accommodate 72 dogs and 24 cats.

The non-profit organization "Caca" is an official partner organization of HillyUndIhreFreundeHelfen e.V., a non-profit association from Germany. "Caca" is managed by Aleksandra Veljkovic. She has been taking care of abandoned dogs and cats for many years, which she cares for and later gives up for adoption. She does not receive any government support, so she is very dependent on donations. The management of this group is taken over in trust by HillyUndIhreFreundeHelfen e.V.

Thanks to you, many animals have been rescued, given medical care and neutered. Unfortunately, the town of Chuguev is located in the middle of the front line and is under constant Russian bombardment. This makes it all the more important to continue providing support there. What we do, we do with heart & brain: dogs and cats rescue from killings and from the street, medically help sick and injured animals, help for self-help, mediation, castration projects, feeding facilities, educational work. We support a private shelter near Setubal. Quinta das Patitas (the paw farm). Teresa, director and founder, and her heart project deserve all our support. About 400 dogs live on the farm!

Wir helfen Hunden in Kroatien und Bosnien-Herzegowina: Kastrationen, Betreuung von medizinischen Notfällen, Vermittlungen in ein besseres Leben und vor allem die Lebensbedingungen der Hunde im Asyl vor Ort zu verbessern, das sind unsere Aufgaben. Hierzu gehört der Bau eines neuen Tierheims, damit wir die große Anzahl an Streunern beherbergen können. Das aktuelle Asyl ist auf den Resten eines alten Steinbruchs aufgebaut und platzt aus allen Nähten! We help dogs in Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina
