Wir, der Verein „ein Herz für Hunde“ kämpft gegen die traurige Lage auf der Deponie in Bihac in Bosnien. Hunderte Strassenhunde benötigen dort täglich Futter und Wasser. Neben der täglichen Angst zu verhungern, kommt natürlich auch das ständige Leben in Angst dazu. Da dies in einer Dimension stattfindet, die wir ohne fremde Hilfe nicht stemmen können, benötigen wir immer wieder Menschen mit Herz die uns helfen und spenden möchten.

Savethedogsbih is a non-profit organization in Bosnia. We rescue dogs that have been abandoned, abused and chained up. For over 6 years, the founder Bruno Jelovic and his team have been caring for over 1000 dogs. Our dogs are not kept in kennels, but live on our ranches where they can just be dogs. We are committed to growing and plan to build more ranches to accommodate more dogs.

The association Ein Herz für griechische Straßenhunde - Stray Paws Austria e.V. supports the Greek association Stray Paws of Pyrgos. This currently summarizes about 350 dogs in the shelter in Pyrgos. In addition, the dogs and cats living on the streets are regularly fed and given veterinary care.

In Romania, we pursue effective animal welfare through spay/neuter programs, education, political advocacy, and carefully selected adoptions. In Germany, we run the “New Start” project: here we take in dogs in need that would otherwise have no chance – animals that have already bitten or are facing euthanasia.

Our "Hund sucht Hütte e.V." team rescues dogs from Croatia and takes care of them until we have found the perfect home for them. Our dogs are mainly street dogs, abandoned dogs, non-wanted puppies, mostly, neglected and abused. We collect money to provide these dogs with a roof over their heads, to feed them and to take care of them medically until they've found their forever homes.

Die Arche Noah Transilvania ist ein privates Tierheim in Alba Iulia (Rumänien), das knapp 60 Hunde beherbergen kann. Bettina Hüttemann und ihr Team retten Hunde aus der Tötungsstation sowie von der Straße und nehmen sie in der Arche auf. Dort werden sie gepflegt und sozialisiert, bis sie ein Zuhause finden.
