AXARQUIA ANIMAL RESCUE is a registered charity in Southern Spain, run by volunteers and dedicated to saving lives and re-homing abandoned and abused animals. We have rescued and rehomed nearly 5,000 animals in the past 13 years and there are so many more that need our help. Our monthly kennel and vet bills are in the region of 5,000 euros a month, often more. We receive no government funding and rely on donations to enable us to continue our work. We need your help.

GADAH Malaga is a small dog rescue group run by 2 friends in the La Axarquia region of Spain. For many years they have been helping abandoned, neglected and abused dogs. The purpose of the group is to provide a safe place for the dogs to recover and receive the appropriate care. Once fully fit, assessed and neutered the dogs are rehomed throughout Europe. This valuable work cannot be done without donations.

Somos un grupo de amantes de los gatos, que nos hemos unido para poder ayudar a aquellos gatitos que mal viven en las calles, y que han sido abandonados, cuidándolos hasta que encontremos un hogar para ellos. Pare ello necesitamos vuestra ayuda, solo somos un grupo de particulares sin ayuda de ningun tipo.

D.A.R.N.A is a NO KILL sanctuary in Spain run 100% by volunteers. We support abandoned, abused, and neglected animals regardless of age, size, or medical status. 100% of donations go toward animal care. Teaming is our best chance at having a regular source of funding for our rescue, and if we had 2000 teamers, we would be able to guarantee food for all of our animals without stressing what the next month would bring. Funds raised will go directly to caring for the street cats of Canillas de Aceituno, a little village in the Axarquia region of Spain. With a small team I have neutered more than 500 cats over the past eight years. The Mayor has now taken over the costs of neutering, but I continue to feed over a hundred cats a day. I will also take sick cats to the vet for treatment or euthanasia. Where possible I will try to find homes for suitable cats.

Because of the sheer number of homeless kittens and cats in the Axarquia (the area to the East of Malaga), we used facebook to bring together people and charities to help them. You can see our facebook group here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/291854187923622/ However, helping those cats and kittens (spaying, tests etc) costs money. So we have started this teaming group so that we can continue to help.
