We are Potes i Arrels, the animal protective association of Muro de Alcoy, a town in Alicante. We were born with the aim of preventing the stray animals of our town from ending up in a dog pound, and we succeeded! We don't have a municipal animal shelter, but that does not stop us. We work with foster homes to avoid life behind bars as much as possible. For only € 1 a month, you can contribute to giving a second chance to those who have been rejected by others. D.A.R.N.A is a NO KILL sanctuary in Spain run 100% by volunteers. We support abandoned, abused, and neglected animals regardless of age, size, or medical status. 100% of donations go toward animal care. Teaming is our best chance at having a regular source of funding for our rescue, and if we had 2000 teamers, we would be able to guarantee food for all of our animals without stressing what the next month would bring. Vivimos en el campo y por fin hemos podido contruir una gatera grande para poder acoger, rescatar, reubicar o dar en adopción a los gatos que acogemos de otras asociaciones☺️ A parte cuidamos y esterilizamos a los gatos salvajes que viven por la zona. Estamos cerca de Cocentaina (Alicante) y somos una familia que hace frente a todos los gastos de forma particular. The Society for the Protection of Animals and Plants of Alcoy is a non-profit association whose purpose is the protection and defense of animals. We manage the Municipal Canine Shelter and there we provide abandoned dogs and cats with a roof, food and all the necessary care while they find a new home with family who provide them with the quality of life that they all deserve.

Animal Charity Akira was formed in 2011, and opened a shelter in 2016. A monthly allowance is given by both Benissa and Teulada Moraira town councils towards the running costs of the shelter, but this is less than the cost of the veterinary bills for the dogs in their care, so AKIRA needs donations to help provide for the dogs. We are constantly fund raising but you could help by sparing just 1 euro per month to help provide a safe, friendly, caring environment for the dogs.

All the cats that live in the Feline Forest had been abandoned and forgotten. The more than 85 cats have plenty of space to roam, climb trees, run, play, as well as shelters and beds with blankets at home. We have built and fenced facilities especially for them, but this project is very expensive, so we need your help to get them going. Come and visit us!

Tanamera rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes Spanish hunting dogs. Without exception, they enter our shelter being only skin and bones and food is their first need. Our refuge suffers to pay the food bill for our dogs, that often need special food (liver / heart problems, recovery & puppy food). On average we need 335 euros PER MONTH to be able to give them the food they need. We need your help to ensure we can feed our dogs, not only today, but every month. Please help us feed them.
