SpecialDogs e.V. stands for sustainable animal welfare at home and abroad – with a focus on Romania and Germany. In Romania, we pursue effective animal welfare through spay/neuter programs, education, political advocacy, and carefully selected adoptions. In Germany, we run the “New Start” project: here we take in dogs in need that would otherwise have no chance – animals that have already bitten or are facing euthanasia.

ProDogRomania ist ein eingetragener Verein, der sich zum Ziel gesetzt hat, Leben und Lebensqualität der Hunde in Rumänien (Baile Herculane und Ploiesti) zu schützen. Unsere Projekte: 1) Privates Tierheim von Mishu Stoica in BaileHerculane, Süd-West-Rumänien, ca. 300 Hunde 2) Städtisches Tierheim „Bucov“ in Ploiesti 70 km von Bukarest, ca. 2000 Hunde Kooperation mit Tierschützerinnen Mihaela Teodoru und Aniela Ghita 3) Privates Tierheim „Sanctuary of Hope“

Animal welfare goes beyond national borders. Every animal deserves a chance at a dignified life. The association operates a shelter in Tunari, Romania. A maximum of 140 dogs can currently be taken in and cared for there. We take care of dogs that have had an accident or are in need, and we constantly rescue animals from the so-called killing-shelters. In addition, we support and organize castration campaigns and maintain a Germany-wide network of around 100 foster homes.

The plight of the street dogs in Romania!., We have been dedicated for 9 years to help the animals in Giurgiu, Romania. There we currently take care of 260 dogs and 20 cats, all former emergencies, on our own large premises. All of them would not be alive without us. We take care of hundreds of emergencies every year, take in dogs and organize castrations, help those in need and prevent new emergencies - that's what we stand for!

Jede Spende hilft! Als gemeinnütziger Verein tragen wir den Unterhalt und den Betrieb unseres Tierheims fast ausschließlich durch Spenden. Wir bekommen kein Geld von Städten/Gemeinden. So sind wir unbedingt auf Ihre Spende angewiesen, um unser Tierheim zu erhalten und unsere Tiere ordnungsgemäß zu Versorgen.
