We are an NGO linked to the Tropical Medicine Unit of the Ramón y Cajal Hospital (Madrid). With your contribution, we offer interpretation and mediation services in health centers. More than 620 patients and their families suffer intestinal failure in Spain. This pathology prevents them from feeding and hydrating themselves naturally. Therefore, they depend on a pump that administers the necessary nutrients intravenously and, sometimes, they need a transplant of up to 6 organs to survive. NUPA is the only national association of affected people. With your help, we will cover the needs of admitted families, providing emergency psychosocial support. Collaborate!

Patricia es una niña alegre y cariñosa y tiene síndrome de Rett. Esta enfermedad rara hizo que a los dos años de edad perdiera la capacidad de caminar, el habla y el uso de sus manos, entre otras afectaciones como la epilepsia. Es posible recuperar la capacidad de caminar con trabajo intensivo y terapias y éste es nuestro objetivo.
