Gatalunya

We're Gatalunya, a team of volunteers working with animals in Barcelona, Spain. We are a mix of locals and foreigners, and work in English, Spanish and Catalán. We began in September 2018 and since then we have found homes for 250+ cats and 20+ dogs and there's there's much more we can do! Gatalunya Preventative Care Committee (TNR/CER)

Throughout the year, and behind the scenes of our more visible fostering and adoption work, we run an ongoing program to reduce suffering for street cats. We work in several different locations within Catalunya and nearby surrounds. This includes TNR (trap/neuter/release) to avoid multiple pregnancies for female cats, reduce fighting between males, and ensure that fewer kittens are born into suffering in the streets. We also have medical bills associated with some of these cats, who are desexed but can also be ill or injured. We take this opportunity to give them the care they need while we have them with us. They are the voiceless, thank you for helping us with them ❤
