For more than 30 years, Scooby has been providing shelter to abandoned and mistreated animals. In the 90's we brought to light the atrocities inflicted on galgos (Spanish greyhounds). At present, we are the biggest shelter in Spain, currently homing more than 1000 dogs and cats and 200 farm animals. Our resources are very limited and we depend mainly on the donations. Scooby cuenta con un Santuario donde residen de manera permanente unos 200 animales de granja, todos ellos rescatados del maltrato y del abuso. Caballos, burros, ovejas, cabras, cerdos y aves (entre otros) permanecerán con nosotros hasta el final de sus días recibiendo todos los cuidados necesarios para que sean felices y lleven la vida digna que se merecen. Velvet Hearts Foundation was created by a person dedicated to the help of all stray and abused animals. Up to now the rescue missions ended in the rescue house of the founder but due to space limit and some additional issues there is a need of a rescue center. This brought us to the decision to buy a small farm which could be adapted for rescue and castration center. There is no animal shelter in our area and our work will be much easier and animals will be safer if there is a rescue center.

Defensa Animal Palentina es una asociación de defensa animal que trabaja sin refugio y con casas de acogida. Para nosotros su ayuda es indispensable para ayudar y rescatar a los animales. No tenemos tampoco subvención, así que dependemos de los donativos de la gente y de que los animales tengan padrinos o madrinas que los ayuden, no sólo económicamente, sino también a encontrar un hogar definitivo.
