Here are 10 dogs, ten stories of pain, abandonment, sickness and abuses. They are being sheltered at the hospital while still under treatment.Seeing their eyes inside the cages is such a pain, but it is the only way to keep them safe. The monthly foster costs in the clinic arise at CAD 291 for each of them. We need to raise the needed funds to continue helping these dogs until they are healthy and adopted. The last months has been extremely difficult for us especially financially. If we don't have your support, we would have no other choice but to give up on these innocent animals. Sole is only 1.5 years old. Little sole was born in the street together with her sister that unfortunately was poisoned at 3 months old by heartless people. Sole and her mother have been treated cruel by people to the point that both were terrified and would not approach any human at all. Sole was taken three times from agency of consumer protection in Tirana but luckily she was saved by the volunteer that was looking after her and the mother. Sole has an adoption chance in Los Angeles, USA. We want to give Sole this opportunity not only because the adoption chances are non existent in Albania but because Sole has suffered do much. This will be an expensive journey but luckily we have a volunteer that has offered to accompany Sole on the trip of her lifetime but we ask for help to cover the cost of Sole's travel ticket. All dogs featured in this album are rescues, found in desperate conditions,surrendered to their predestined fate of dying in pain and neglect. They have seen the worst in humanity! Despite being abandoned, abused and unwanted they have forgiving hearts still able to love. Few are old and can’t keep up with the younger ones and the more energetic but still,they enjoy life and act playful at times. These dogs are special to us but they don’t have “YET” families of their own. Maybe, if someone takes a chance and gets to know them better, that someone will see them as special as we do. They have their stories of suffering and survival. Maybe they are not picture perfect or young puppies, but just stop for a second and think it over: a dog’s life is short and in their case truly unfair but you can make a difference in the life of one of them. Not all that is store bought is always the best, you know it. Just look beyond what your eyes see and focus on what is substantial, CARE and LOVE!

Just today we found this extremely malnourished and hungry mother and 4 puppies. We could not turn our back on them so we opened the doors of our shelter despite being over our every limit. The sad story of Xhoni has touched all of us. Abandoned in the city of Fier, Albania, Xhoni was found in a horrible condition. At 10 years old, tiny Xhoni cannot survive in the street. Thanks to the vet care in Fier city Xhoni is feeling much better but he needs to have an adoptive family with a big heart that willing to keep tiny Xhoni for the rest of his life. This time we need a forever home for Xhoni. Please share with your friends and family!

An abandoned dog we have found recently in the outskirts of Tirana that is added to the list of dogs we feed and care every day.
She knows the time we come to feed her and never misses a meal.
We want to vaccinate and treat her for internal/external parasites and also have her checked and treated for a visible tumor. We maybe will not be able to find her a home but maybe someone will want to adopt her in distance so at least her food and medical costs are covered.

Update on the Helpless Dog:
We named the little one Sophia. She was not eating and was in an apathetic state. After an intensive treatment with intravenous and antibiotic she is showing signs of slight improvement. When ready she will have all the vaccines and the parasitic treatment done as well. We have found foster for her abroad and hope to find a volunteer to take the puppy to Firenze or Pisa. We want to thank Efterpin for helping with the vet expenses. Please follow Sophia's story because she still needs all of you!
