2023 was a tough year for animal welfare.
Many sick dogs can be seen in and around Xanthi. There is a lack of urgent medication so that the dogs can be treated.
Puppies everywhere you look. There is a lack of funding for neutering to stop the suffering of homeless animals.
What we can do is being done, but it is not enough.
We need neutering teams who are willing to come to Greece for some time so that a larger number of dogs can be neutered. We are also looking for sponsors to support this project.
In Greece there are 69% homeless animals. Animals that nobody wants.
They suffer from disease, hunger and parasites. And there is no end in sight.
Our work continues, albeit slowly.
