Care and Support for Rescued Animals

Our Founder, Dana, recently visited Ukraine to join our ROLDA Heroes on the frontlines, deliver vital aid and resources and meet some of our recent rescues.

In just a few short days, her and the team rescued 36 animals, including 10 dogs, 13 pups, 9 cats and 4 kittens.

A senior lady, walking with difficulty, greeted us with bread in her hands, breaking pieces to feed her dog before handing him over, whispering words meant only for him.

A retired man waited beside his dog, just tranquilised, and insisted on carrying her himself, placing her carefully into the van as if saying goodbye.

A large female dog with 8 puppies had to be left behind for now, as every space in the van was already filled. We will return for them.

A mother dog and her 11 puppies were rescued from beneath a building close to collapse, the puppies only days old, their mother terrified by the sound of nearby bombs.

These missions are emotional, devastating, and often extremely challenging. They are not only about animals. Sometimes, they mean helping people flee too, and keeping families together in the midst of an ongoing war.

This work takes courage, planning, and the ability to act in dangerous conditions. The team Dana joined has already survived three drone attacks in recent months.
