We discovered that in the Vilafranca shelter some dogs are residing there since many years. It is our goal to get these dogs away from the shelter: stop their suffering, stop their exposure to the stress of the shelter and stop the lack of love and attention they had to deal with for more than 8 years now. The funds will be paid to the residence that takes care of the dogs while waiting for their family. The funds will be transferred by association La Moja
The goal of this project is to get the forgotten dogs of Vilafranca to safety, one by one. We can do so by placing them in a befriended Residence/Dog pension. Here they can start their recovery after years of captivity and wait for their forever home. The money will go to associacon Lamoja (=Dutch non-profit) after which they will transfer 100 euro per month to the Pension. Currently Hadas alias Henry (see photo) is in the residence for training his confidence.

Good news! Maus has found finally his loving home! So we have to change to sponsor another lovely dog and that is Hadas alias Henry. Henry is a bit shy but lovely to people and very good with other dogs... he has been a long time all ready in the shelter and finally now Maus left we could change the limited space of a kennel into a nice residence home with garden un till he will find his family. Here he will get more secure which will make it easier for him to find a family at the end. Thank you for supporting him and making this happen for him!

Allereerst mijn excuses voor de lange radiostilte, vanwege een verhuizing is een en ander er even bij ingeschoten. Maar gelukkig niet voor Mara, zoals op bijgevoegd filmpje is te zien, geniet ze van de ruimte die ze jarenlang heeft moeten missen. In de residentie leert ze weer wat het is om "gewoon" hond te zijn en neemt haar vertrouwen toe. Dit vergroot haar kansen op een adoptie aanzienlijk en we zullen nu op FB ook actief aandacht gaan vragen voor haar. In de hoop dat ze zsm een echt thuis heeft.
Dankzij jullie steun heeft ze de afgelopen maanden in ieder geval al wat op adem kunnen komen: dankjulliewel!

First of all my apologies for the long period without any update, due to rehousing "issues" some activities were postponed for a while. But not for Mara! As you can see in the attached movie, she enjoys the space which she had to miss for so many years. Besides that her confidence is growing every day. This increases her chances for finding a forever home. Now it is time to actively promote her on FB so she will hopefully have her own family soon.
