Our commitment is to challenging stereotypes and to supporting men travelling solo, to help them to build a solid base of knowledge, and support network to work their way towards stability, integration and autonomy, and ultimately independence from social aid. We believe that supporting these men should be central to social development and aid delivery, given their potential to enrich their host nation’s society when provided with the initial support required by any individual.

FORGE for cricket is a community sports project in Athens which aims to encourage active participation and social integration. Practicing in local football pitches and competing in friendlies led the team to compete in the Hellenic Premier League in Corfu last month. The priority for 2020 is to find an appropriate venue in Athens for practice, where safety can be prioritised, and, using the foundation of a passionate, skilful team, establish a place where cricket can flourish.
