As per Guinnes Book of World Rekords the Smeura is bearing the mournful title of being the biggest animal shelter of the world. Around 5400 dogs and 600 puppies need around 2.7 tonnes food per day. The staff members are doing an inconceivable job - organizationally, physically and emotionally. Driving around with a castration van and pushing the clearing up of the locals. Every euro is needed. Die Situation der Straßenkatzen auf Gran Canaria ist nach wie vor traurig. Unser Ziel ist es, durch Kastrationen zukünftiges Katzenelend zu verhindern, Straßenkatzen Würde zu geben und mit artgerechter Fütterung Katzen gesund zu halten sowie die tierärztliche Versorgung sicherzustellen. Unser gemeinnütziger Verein wurde 2004 gegründet. Wir kooperieren mit verschiedenen Tierschutzorganisationen in Spanien und vermitteln deren Hunde nach Deutschland. Ein besonderes Anliegen ist es für uns, die Situation der Galgos zu verbessern. Diese Hunderasse wird durch Menschen ausgebeutet, gequält und jährlich werden allein in Spanien Zehntausende Galgos getötet. Wir tun alles, um diese wundervollen und sensiblen Hunde aus den Tötungsstationen oder von der Straße zu retten.

Galgos Rescue Almeria (GRA) is een kleine shelter die zich vooral bekommerd om het lot van galgos en podencos.Deze rassen worden door de Spaanse overheid totaal niet beschermd daar ze gebruikt, zeg maar gerust misbruikt, worden voor de jacht en eigenlijk aanzien worden als een werktuig.Uiteraard sluiten we de ogen niet voor andere rassen/dieren in nood, en zetten wij ook voor hen ons hart en deuren open.

Wir sind ein gemeinnütziger Verein in Solingen und setzen uns seit vielen Jahren dafür ein, das Leid der Streunerkatzen ein wenig zu mildern und der ständig steigenden Anzahl an verwilderten Hauskatzen entgegen zu wirken. Dazu fangen wir uns gemeldete Streunerkatzen ein, lassen sie kastrieren und chippen und bringen sie, wenn die Versorgung gesichert ist, in ihre gewohnte Umgebung zurück, wo sie wieder freigelassen werden.
