Equi Dolce Association was set up in central France in December 2022. We are 6 experienced horse people passionate about the welfare of equines with a mission to help horses, ponies and donkeys. Those abandoned, maltreated or destined for the abattoir. Also those who have lost their human/who's human can no longer take care of them. We rely totally on donations to meet the daily needs of the equines in our care. Heartfelt thanks for participating ❤️ Num: W192006192 (Corrèze/Cantal)
Destination of the funds: your kind donations go directly to help rehabilitate the horses, ponies and donkeys in our care. Hay, feed, hoof care, deworming, vaccinations, dentist, osteopath and vet bills. Also rugs for the elderly and underweight and bedding, for example, those with laminitis. Some of these equines have been rescued from neglect, others when their human is ill/has died or is in financial difficulty — and some were headed to the meat man. We are a small, young association but with your continued help we would like to grow and protect more horses, ponies and donkeys. We depend totally on donations/fundraising projects to fund their daily care. A sincere thank you from Equi Dolce for your support in our mission to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home equines.

There is more to this photo than meets the eye.
Bella (and her sister) witnessed the most horrific scenario where her owner slit the throats of the other equines, rather than give them up to the authorities and associations coming to seize them.
Patrice Reppert (president of Equi Dolce) was also present at the scene, he too has been scarred. This was a high profile case of an animal hoarder who is no longer allowed to keep animals.
These 2 survivors of the massacre came to our local rescue last August, their trust in humans at an all time low. Through patience and kindness Patrice is slowly rebuilding their trust, it's tiny steps. Bella more timid than her sister can now be stroked at liberty, but as yet, will not accept being haltered.
Sally Verburgh did a shiatsu session on Bella's sister with both horses at liberty. So it was very moving for both her and Patrice, when Bella chose to come over and be involved, even accepting touch from Sally, a complete stranger to her.
Well done Patrice, your commitment is paying off and doesn't go unnoticed.
A big thank you to all out teamer's for your support. It helps us to feed the 18 horses under our protection.
